Picture
When Rusty's mom drives him to school one day, he sees a dog chained to a tree in the rain--no shelter, food or water.  Rusty cannot erase this image from his mind and thinks "somebody should do something" to help the dog.  Motivated by his teacher, Rusty realizes he is "somebody" and HE could do "something."

As he tries to help the dog, he faces a lot of "roadblocks" or conflicts that stand in his way.  What are some conflicts Rusty faces and how does he solve the problems?

Ghost dog secrets is a great book. It is crazy that it is on the nene list
because it has someone betting a dog and it has a meth lab. It is
still a great book.

This book is amazing! I like how Rusty is kind. I know for a fact Rusty is kind because he tried to save that poor German Shepard. Rusty is so creative because he wrote a lovely poem about the German Shepard.

I agree, Olivia! What scene gave you the most chills? What words did the author use to create this chilling feeling?

Some conflicts Rusty had was when he took Ra with him in the house and Mr.Myers tried to get in to talk to Pat and get his dog back. Another conflict was when Mr.Myers broke into their house to get Ra but they took him to the vet. That's when they had to get a new door and their garage window repaired. Every time I read this book I feel like that Collie is staring at me. I don't know why but it freaks me out. :O
