The thing that affected him is that his family went overseas and he had to move with his grandparents and the way it affected him is that he did not get to go hunting with his friend Patrick.

I think this is a great book because it has action. It is funny too because Erik and Patrick are friends. Its sad when Erik shot a bird but other then that it was a great book. :)
