We found a new land. We named it "Island of the True Cross."We stayed here for 10 days. We found pau-brazil which is wood used make red dye. We were so excited that we found this brand new land. But we still have to go to India so we will set sail soon.

Pedro Alvares Cabral was born in 1467 in Belmonte, Portugal to a noble family. He was educated at the royal court and a member of the king's council.
